Get past the screening software.

Many companies screen resumes with software before a person reads them, and a good resume can be dropped for missing the words the role asks for. We check yours against your target role and show what to fix.

Questions

Skill gaps, AI-ready resumes and free upskilling, explained.

CareerMetro helps job seekers in India move to their next role: a skill gap analysis against real job descriptions, an ATS-friendly resume check, a short upskilling path built from free courses, interview practice, and role matches.

What is CareerMetro?

CareerMetro is a career platform for job seekers in India. You upload your resume and pick the role you want next. CareerMetro shows the skill gaps between you and that role, with evidence from real job descriptions, and gives you a short path of free learning to close them.

How does the skill gap analysis work?

CareerMetro compares the skills on your resume with the skills that job descriptions for your target role ask for. Each gap shows how often employers ask for that skill, so you can work on the gaps that matter most first.

What is an AI-ready or ATS-friendly resume?

Many companies use applicant tracking systems (ATS) and AI screening to filter resumes before a person reads them. A resume can be rejected for missing the keywords a role asks for or for a layout the software cannot read. CareerMetro checks your resume against your target role, shows the missing keywords and format fixes, and asks you to add a keyword only where your experience backs it up.

Is CareerMetro free?

Yes, CareerMetro is free during the beta. The learning path uses free sources such as YouTube, NPTEL, SWAYAM, freeCodeCamp, Kaggle Learn, Microsoft Learn and official documentation. There are no paid course links.

Which roles does CareerMetro cover?

CareerMetro starts with technology roles such as cybersecurity (SOC analyst and security analyst), data analytics, cloud engineering and product roles, and more roles are being added. It works for freshers, career changers and experienced professionals.

When is a skill gap counted as closed?

Learning moves you forward, but proof fills the gap. A gap is closed by a skill check, a verified certificate, or work experience that someone confirms. Watching a video or finishing a short quiz is progress, not proof.

What happens to my resume?

Your resume is used only to find your skill gaps and improve your resume. CareerMetro never sells your data.
